School Security

To better protect students, staff, and visitors, a credential exchange program will be implemented at all District 214 buildings during school hours. All visitors will be required to present a valid driver’s license or another government issued photo I.D. in exchange for a visitor’s badge. Your driver’s license will be scanned into a visitor management system, which screens for registered sex offenders. School Begins August 25th!

The 2010-2011 school year will begin with a full day starting at 8:15 A.M. on Wednesday, August 25. On the first day of school, students get information about their class schedule and get an overview of the school year ahead. At 2:15 P.M., students will be dismissed. Community Education to Launch Age-Group Swim Program August 17, 2010 District 214 Community Education is about to make a big splash this fall as plans are finalized for launching an exciting age-group swim program, WHAM Aquatics. WHAM Aquatics will serve four age groups: Dynamos for 8 and under, Chargers for 9 and 10, Turbos for 11 and 12, and Power, 13 through high school age. Welcome to the website of Forest View Alternative School ! By way of introduction, we are the alternative program for high school students in District 214 who are eligible for special education services. Students are referred to us for a variety of reasons, ranging from engaging in unacceptable and disruptive behaviors on one end of the spectrum, to displays of emotion which may only be harmful to that particular student.
